In the streets of Milan

Streetphotography with the PEN-F in mono-mode 2

Recently, I was two days in Milan at the MIA PHOTO Fair. A good opportunity to capture the vibrant city life of Italy´s second-largest metropolis with the new Olympus PEN F. The perfect location for shooting black & white images and videoclips in monochrome mode. In the settings I chose the mono-mode 2. This mode produces excellent contrast and very clear results. Compared to analog photography, the shots remind to the legendary Kodak TRI-X film. It is particulary appealing to connect this setting mode with the integrated red filter. A blue sky appears on this way in deep black. You can see it here on the example of the frontal view on the Duomo. More examples you can find in the video.

And now have fun with the look at the video and images from my series „In the streets of Milan“. Just click on the images for an enlarged view. Check out the video in 1080p.
